What Makes us Different?
We are developing a unique educational approach, which weaves together the principles of Modern Learning, Montessori and Te Reo Māori me ōna tikanga (the language and the way of Māori). This comes to life through the evolution of our local curriculum, which connects to the natural resources on our doorstep, our history and the local community.
Our Learning Pathways
We have two mixed-age learning pathways, Pakiri and Montessori, under the school’s whakatuakī, Kotahi te Hikoi Whakamua (Forward Together). Both pathways offer small class sizes with excellent student to teacher ratios and highly individualised learning programmes. Our school runs from year one to eight.

Upcoming event: June 18
In June our ākonga will begin the CatchIT programme run by The Forest Bridge Trust. CatchIT is a citizen science project where ākonga learn about the threats to our native species and are encouraged to become hands-on trappers in their own backyards.
So much has happened already this term! We've welcomed four new ākonga, and three new whānau to our school, started swimming and cricket lessons, and the ākonga experienced a very special learning event: The Universe Story.
